National Security Committee meets today.
ISLAMABAD:
The Parliamentary Committee on National Security will meet in the National Assembly Hall on Tuesday (today) for a briefing on the current national security situation in the country.
National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will chair the session. During the meeting, the top security official will brief the committee members. The National Assembly opposition leader, senior parliamentary leaders of both the houses and federal ministers, will attend the meeting.
Besides senior political leaders, provincial chief ministers, the president and prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan have been extended a special invitation. The provincial chief secretaries, chief secretary of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and chief secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan will also attend the meeting.
