Oddities and Curiosities Expo visits Tulsa appeared on ktul.com by Alexandria Tafoya, KTUL Staff.

While many celebrated this weekend with Easter egg hunts, some celebrated with searches for obscure memorabilia and taxidermy.

The Oddities and Curiosities Expo visited Tulsa at the Expo Square – SageNet Building on Saturday.

The event has been held in major cities throughout the country and featured more than 150 oddity vendors and artists.

This year, OCE featured a wide variety of ‘rare and unusual’ items from local and national vendors. Items included but were not limited to taxidermy, preserved animal specimens, original horror and Halloween-inspired artwork, antiques, handcrafted oddities, skulls, bones, and funeral collectibles.

While visitors examined vendors’ lineups, they were also able to participate in additional activities like taxidermy lessons, photo ops, tarot reading, sideshow performances, and concessions.

“The Oddities and Curiosities Expo was created purely out of the excitement of bringing communities we care about together through events. Honestly, we had no idea it would turn into what it has today! Our goal has always been to uplift those around us while giving everyone, including ourselves, the opportunity to truly do what they love,” ” said Michelle Cozzaglio, co-owner of the expo.
