Peace efforts needed say Zelensky, Holy See – English | CPT PPP Coverage

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 13 – Peace efforts are needed for Ukraine,
President Volodymyr Zelensky and Vatican Secretary for Relations
with States Msgr Paul Richard Gallagher agreed in the Vatican
Saturday, the Holy See said in a statement.
   
“They focused on the current war in Ukraine and on the urgencies
linked to it, in particular those of a humanitarian nature, as
well as the need to continue efforts to reach peace,” said the
communique.
   
“The occasion was also propitious to examine some bilateral
questions, relating above all to the life of the Catholic
Church.” The meeting lasted about half an hour, the Vatican
