Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Rollback Netcode Now Live on PS4
EVO 2022 has begun today and as well as the many tournaments taking place in games like MultiVersus, Street Fighter V, and Mortal Kombat 11, there has been several announcements already. One of those is that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has gotten rollback netcode and it’s available now on PS4 and Steam.
How to get the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax rollback netcode update
PS4 players will find the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax rollback netcode update is ready to be downloaded and installed on the console already. We don’t have an update size yet but it shouldn’t take too long to install. Once downloaded, players will find the new netcode reduces input latency and lag, something that has proven to be a dealbreaker for many who were waiting for the update before making a purchase. The game is currently on sale at 30% off on the PlayStation Store, now down to $20.99.
As well as adding rollback netcode, the update adds game stability improvements and minor bug fixes, as well as fixing the specific issue of saved replay data not being properly saved to the cloud. Those playing on Steam have a few more hoops to jump through to make use of the update, as they’ll need to opt into the Rollback Netcode Beta. ATLUS has provided full instructions on how to do this over on the Steam Store. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch players aren’t getting this update and will have to make do with the standard delay-based netcode instead. There’s currently no indication as to whether this update will be added to the Switch at a later date.
In other news, the Victrix Pro FX and Pro-FX 12 fight sticks were confirmed to be officially licensed PlayStation products during the EVO tournament. Elsewhere, an EVO survey seems to suggest that Sony may be considering PlayStation NFTs at some point, although they’re already confirmed to not be included in PlayStation Stars.
