Peyton Manning Super Bowl wins: Did he get more than Tom Brady, Joe Montana or Patrick Mahomes? appeared on www.marca.com by LW.

Peyton Manning is one of the most successful quarterbacks in the NFL. The former Indianapolis Colts player closed his 18-year career with a record of 186-79 and three of the most important records for his position. However, that effectiveness on the field was not reflected in his trophy case.

RELATED:

Manning came to the Colts as the first overall pick in the 1998 Draft, out of the University of Tennessee. His rookie year was complicated, as the team finished with a 3-13 record.

However, that was the beginning of Manning’s meteoric rise, who led the Colts to 11 postseasons in 13 years, and later, he took the Denver Broncos to four playoffs in a row.

Although he played in 15 postseasons, Manning always had problems down the stretch and only played in four Super Bowls, of which he won two: the XLI, when the Colts beat the Chicago Bears 29-17, and the 50th, in which the Broncos bested the Carolina Panthers 24-10.

How does Manning compare to other NFL greats?

The mark that Manning left on the NFL is unquestionable: In addition to those two Super Bowl rings, he was also inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021 and still holds three records: most touchdown passes in a season, with 55; most passing yards in a season, with 5,477; and most touchdown passes in one game, with seven.

Due to various circumstances, Manning’s talent did not translate into titles. Of course, he managed to get his name on the list of champion QBs, but he is far from the leaders in that department, led by Tom Brady with no less than seven championship rings in his jewelry box.

He is also behind the legendary Joe Montana, who has four in his career, all with the San Francisco 49ers, and is tied with Patrick Mahomes, who has won two with the Kansas City Chiefs and aims to win his third this Sunday against the Niners in Super Bowl LVIII.

Which quarterback has the most Super Bowl wins?

With seven Super Bowl rings-six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady is the winningest quarterback in the NFL.

Behind him are Montana and Steelers’ Terry Bradshaw, both with four. Cowboys’ Troy Aikman occupies the fourth position, with three, and behind him, there is a long list of QBs with two championship rings in their hands, led by Mahomes, the two Manning brothers-Peyton and Eli-and John Elway, among others.
