PlayStation Plus adding 2 underrated open-world games for you to play free appeared on www.gamingbible.com by Lewis Parker.

Kinda surprised it took so long for these two to land on PlayStation Plus

Sony just revealed that a few absolute bangers are coming to PlayStation Plus next week, and I think there’s at least one game in the line-up that is sure to please everyone.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog last night, 15 new games will be landing on the PlayStation Plus service from 17 December onward.

The titles available through the PlayStation Plus catalogue are Sonic Frontiers, Forspoken, Rabbids: Party of Legends, WRC Generations, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch, Jurassic World Evolution 2, Coffee Talk, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, A Space for the Unbound, PHOGS, and Biped.

Whereas if you’re a PlayStation Plus Premium subscriber, you’ll also get access to Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.

The one that’s likely to grab most people’s attention is Sonic Frontiers. Considering how absolutely stacked of a year 2022 was, you’d be forgiven for missing this one when it dropped.

Take a look at Forspoken in action below.

I will also say that you shouldn’t let the review scores on this one fool you, because while it was universally agreed to be a seven out of 10 game when it released (unless you’re Digital Trends, as they gave it a 1/5), the updates that have followed make Sonic Frontiers closer to an eight or a nine out of 10 for me these days.

Then there’s Forspoken.

Look, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. Forspoken garnered a lot of hate when it launched in 2023, even though said hate has kind of transformed into apathy these days.

I haven’t played this one, mostly because I was busy playing all of the 10/10 bangers that dropped in 2023.

However, I think I probably will give it a go now that it’s on PlayStation Plus. I’m not expecting big things, but I am curious if it’s as disappointing as people make it out to be.

Honestly I’m mostly just surprised it took this long to land on the PlayStation Plus catalogue…
