PlayStation Plus free games for September already causing arguments appeared on www.gamingbible.com by Sam Cawley.
PlayStation fans are running a tournament to guess next month’s PS Plus free games, with some guesses being more optimistic than others.
Check out the stunningly gorgeous RPG coming to PlayStation Plus this month, Sea Of Stars.
This includes three free games for Essential tier subscribers, more games added to the game catalogue for the Extra tier, and some additional retro titles for the Premium tier. Every month is a hit or a miss to say the least, and while you can never please everyone, this summer, PlayStation Plus seems to have regularly disappointed fans with its offerings.
Over the past few months though, the PlayStation Plus subreddit has been holding a tournament for users to guess which free Essential games will announced each month, getting points for the right guess and even some bonus points depending on what’s announced.
It’s purely harmless fun, but the lack of major titles is clearly getting to fans, as reflected in some of the guesses for September’s free PlayStation titles.
Others were less optimistic though, clearly beaten down by the lack of AAA releases in recent months. “Three games we’ve never heard of,” said one Reddit user. “This is just a cruel exercise lately. I think we’ve had a very underwhelming PS Plus summer,” added another.
The next batch of PlayStation Plus Essential titles is expected to be revealed on the 30 August.
