Rafael Nadal beat out Jeff Bezos in a new Spanish poll asking people who their “ideal boss” would be. The 22-time Grand Slam winner was voted the top choice, with the Amazon founder coming in at number three, as Nadal’s three most important traits were listed as the reason he would be the best.
Nadal is used to winning titles and topping the rankings, but he has been given a new title after coming top of a poll asking Spaniards who their “ideal boss”. The world No 2 hasn’t played since the US Open, and it appears he could have a new job if he wanted to as he beat out the likes of former Amazon CEO Bezos to be crowned the ideal boss.
The 22-time Major champion received 45 per cent of votes in the poll of 4,917, with 58 per cent saying they picked him as their dream chief because he is “humble”. Another 50 per cent said they thought he was “honest and trustworthy” while 48 per cent said he was “passionate”.
Coming in second to Nadal was Spanish chemist Margarita del Val Latorre, who heads up the Spanish National Research Council’s Global Health platform, with 33 per cent of votes while Bezos came in third with 24 per cent. Del Val was also seen as “honest” like the 36-year-old, and Bezos pulled in votes for being ambitious.
