Riley Green and Luke Combs' 'Different ‘Round Here' Claims No.1 Spot on Country Radio appeared on countrynow.com by Country Now.
“This song took on a life of its own over the past couple years,” Green explained.
Riley Green and Luke Combs brought their collaboration, “Different ‘Round Here,” to the top of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Chart this week.
This Marks Green’s Third No.1 At Country Radio
With this chart feat, Green earned his third career No.1 at country radio, following his breakout hit, “There Was This Girl” and “Half Of Me” with Thomas Rhett.
“Different ‘Round Here” was co-written by Green with Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton and produced by Dann Huff. The standout track originally appeared as the title track on Green’s 2019 album. At the time, it only featured vocals from Green.
Added Combs To The Song
Later, the Alabama native asked Combs to join him on the song and re-released it as a collaboration on his latest album, Ain’t My Last Rodeo.
“It felt right re-releasing it together,” Green admitted.
This reimagined version has raked in more than 364 million total streams to date and has become a standout moment during Green’s live shows.
“Ever since we originally released the song a few years ago, we have seen so many military families, athletes, and hard-working everyday people use the song in their own videos,” the singer/songwriter explained.
The addition of Combs brought the song to a new level.
“This song took on a life of its own over the past couple years and fans from all over have identified with it,” Green shared in a statement. “I appreciate Luke Combs jumping on it and getting to share this #1 with us.”
Riley Green Tour
Riley Green will soon launch his headlining Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour with special guests Tracy Lawrence and Ella Langley. The 33-city trek will launch on February 22 and run through June 1, 2024.
“Ain’t My Last Rodeo is inspired by what I know best: hard work, life outdoors and family and it’s going to be fun adding these new songs to our full set,” Green said when announcing the tour. “I’ve been a fan of Tracy Lawrence since I was a kid so I’m looking forward to having him out with us and watching the fans singing along to all his hits. I also really love what Ella Langley is doing –it’s going to be a great time all around.”
Riley Green At Flora-Bama
In addition to the tour, Green recently announced plans for his inaugural “Duckman Jam at Flora-Bama. This is a two-day country music festival taking place April 12-13 in Pensacola, Florida. The country hitmaker will headline both evenings and will be joined by Tracy Lawrence and Jake Worthington on Friday, April 12, and Drake White and Ella Langley on Saturday, April 13.
“Flora-Bama has always been a big deal to me. I’ve been going there since I was a young kid, sneaking in on vacation with my family. It’s the first place I ever saw a writer’s round. I remember going down there as a teenager and standing by the stage, hoping to play. It’s pretty exciting to go back and have my own two-day festival there,” shared Green. “Having Tracy Lawrence and Drake White there will make it a really fun weekend.”
Tickets for the Duckman Jam at Flora-Bama are on sale now.
