Robyn Dixon And Gizelle Bryant Fight Back Against Eminem‘s Trademark Opposition appeared on www.realitytea.com by Reality Tea.
Is it reasonable? Or is it shady? The Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon are fighting against rapper Eminem over his move to block their trademark application for their podcast.
Robyn and Gizelle have been hosting Reasonably Shady since 2021. Fans watched the reality stars work to launch their podcast into something big. During Season 7, the ladies hosted their first live show event and showcased their efforts to keep growing their audience.
However, Eminem may be putting a stop to their shine. The green-eyed bandits attempted to trademark the name “Reasonably Shady” to sell products such as water bottles, lip glosses, and more. But Eminem’s filed opposition claims the rapper’s brand would be “damaged” if they were successful.
It’s common knowledge Eminem has a few aliases. The rapper has been known to fans as “Shady” or “Slim Shady” since the late ‘90s. Additionally, the rapper owns the trademark for “Shady” for his merch. Because of this, Eminem believes Robyn and Gizelle’s podcast could “cause confusion in the minds of consumers.”

However, despite his attempt, the reality stars are pushing back and claiming there are no similarities between their brands. Robyn and Gizelle’s attorney, Andrea Evans, told Page Six, “Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant deny any likelihood of confusion between Mather’s trademarks and their Reasonably Shady mark.”
The lawyer noted, “We are prepared to defend any allegations against them regarding their intellectual property.”
Although I likely won’t buy any Cricut-made Reasonably Shady merch from Gizelle and Robyn, I hope their trademark application is successful. Despite sharing the name “shady,” their brands are entirely different. One uses the descriptive word as part of their multi-million dollar image, while the others use it to confess their husband’s infidelity. Clearly, they’re not the same.
Many listeners enjoy Gizelle and Robyn’s podcast despite the current legal battles. Last month, the Housewives celebrated an exciting achievement: 5 million downloads. “Thank you so much for listening! Thank you for the love and support!” Gizelle captioned her Instagram post.
TELL US – DO YOU HOPE EMINEM IS SUCCESSFUL IN HIS OPPOSITION? DO YOU THINK ROBYN AND GIZELLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRADEMARK THEIR PODCAST?
