Serena Williams Shares Scared Daughter Olympia’s Priceless Reaction in an Adventurous Day Out With Alexis Ohanian appeared on www.essentiallysports.com by EssentiallySports.
Serena Williams is having the time of her life with her older daughter! While the French Open was in full swing in Paris a few days ago, the three-time winner of the tournament, who retired back in 2022, was enjoying her time with her six-year-old Olympia and her tech entrepreneur husband Alexis Ohanian. Sharing a few glimpses of the mother-daughter duo’s special outing, Williams’ TikTok video showcased Olympia’s adorable reaction during their adventures.
Serena Williams’ TikTok video from six days ago revealed a special adventurous trip to Denmark with her daughter and husband. The video, which is captioned, “Check out my unedited day at Legoland in Denmark…hummmm nice and almost private,” captured a day full of playing and learning with Legos, along with having delicious food. However, at the end of the video, there is a special twist. Williams and Ohanian took their daughter on a rollercoaster ride! Although they enjoyed the ride, watching Legoland from above, there was one more surprise coming their way.
Just a few seconds after the former World No. 1 was screaming “Oh my goodness,” after a daring rollercoaster ride, it came to a halt. Naturally, both Williams and her daughter were anticipating a new twist. The 42-year-old who first thought the ride was going to go backward later said, “It’s the minions,” and Olympia corrected her mother by saying, “That’s not a minion, that’s a Lego.” With her long hair braided over one shoulder, Olympia sported a big smile that gleamed with her new grown-up teeth.

The selfie video captured them both screaming in delight as they raced down the roller coaster tracks, the wind whipping through their hair. It’s peak summer, and their infectious energy practically jumps off the screen. Suddenly, their seat plunged downwards, eliciting a wide-eyed stare of surprise from Olympia straight at the camera. “OHHH NOOO!” she shrieked as the ride lurched back up. Williams, clearly enjoying the moment, laughed and added, “I did not expect that!” Pure joy captured in a single moment.
Serena Williams has always been vocal about how she likes to spend her time with her daughters. But her younger daughter (Adira) is not even one-year-old; so, for now, Williams is often seen doing adventurous trips with Olympia. However, she also once revealed how she tries to maintain a balance when it comes to spending time with each of her daughters.

“So Olympia is in school most of the day and I get to hang out with the baby most of the day. And then when Olympia is home, I get to hang out with her,” the 23 Grand Slam Champion said. However, Serena Williams also has a unique advice for all parents in this regard.
Serena Williams shares the reason behind her advice to spend more time with the older daughter
Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, the Reddit co-founder, first welcomed their baby back in 2017 ( September). Since then, Williams has opened up frequently about how her priorities have shifted since she became a mother. Be it rearranging her training schedule to be there for her daughter or stepping away from tennis to bring another kid (Adira, who was born in 2023) into the world, Williams’ role as a mother is an inspiration to all.

Therefore, when it comes to giving advice on motherhood, Williams has never backed down. However, her approach is quite unique. “Someone gave me the best advice, they said, “Spend more time with the oldest cause they’ll remember. Because the little one won’t remember. So whenever Olympia’s home, I’m with her. And then Adira, I’m just like, ‘Okay…’ I pretend like I don’t know her as much.”
As Serena Williams continues to enjoy her journey of motherhood, the tennis world also hopes to see more of the mother-daughter’s special glimpses now and then.
