Megan Rapinoe who has been the key to success for the USWNT, admires Serena Williams. Rapinoe had led the United States to the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup championships. She is keeping up with her superstar status.
“She’s a complete bada**,” Rapinoe starts with a compliment towards the 23-time Grand Slam champion.
“(Serena’s) doing it all with such style, doing it in the face of so much adversity and controversy,” Rapinoe said and continued, “She hasn’t really been allowed to be just Serena Williams, there’s always something that comes with it.”
The way she expressed her feelings for Williams demonstrates how much she admires her.
Her performance on the court does not alone earn her respect. But also from her getting involved in adversity and controversy and still standing strong.

As the name goes with the title of a superstar, Rapinoe has also contributed a lot to the USWNT off-field. She leads the entire team, whether it is in the game of soccer or fighting for their rights.
She has been considering social issues and taking them into her own hands. Rapinoe has supported the “Black Lives Matter” movement. She has also spoken out against the ban on transgender youth from playing sports.
