Singer called up on O2 stage by Ed Sheeran gigs in county appeared on www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk by GloucestershireLive.
A singer-songwriter who became a viral sensation after an impromptu duet with Ed Sheeran has showcased his new single to an audience in Gloucestershire. Luke Gittins, 22, is one half of Burbank, a duo from Wiltshire who played Dunkertons Cider Bar in Cheltenham on Easter Sunday (April 9).
Among their set was Room to No One, written after Luke was called up on stage at the O2 in London by Sheeran just over two weeks ago. Then, he played A Team with Sheeran, who has praised the young singer’s talent.
Luke releases Room to No One on Tuesday after a planned appearance on the ITV show Lorraine on Easter Monday. He told the audience at the cider bar: “This is a dress rehearsal.”

When Sheeran called Luke up on stage at the O2 on Friday, March 24, he said: “This guy who’s front row here called Luke, who covers my songs and I see him on YouTube all the time and I saw you today man. Do you want to come up and sing The A Team?”
As the two sang, Sheeran turned to Luke and said: “Well now Luke, do you want to see what 20,000 lights looks like from up here? Do you want to ask them to get their lights out?”
Luke then asked the thousands of fans to put show their lights, and the stadium lit up. Luke told BBC Radio 4 Today that he didn’t know Sheeran would call him up on stage.
He added: ‘I’ve been working at this my whole life really, since I was about 12 when I started really posting and writing songs. And it’s hard. I love it and I live and breathe it, and I gig with my closest friends. We do acoustic gigs and I’ve done like 700 gigs and I love it.”
