Sony-backed PS4 game leaves old console behind for 2024 PS5 launch appeared on www.truetrophies.com by TrueTrophies.
Sony-backed PS5 console exclusive AI Limit will launch in 2024
Initially revealed four years ago as part of the second wave of games to receive funding from Sony’s PlayStation China Hero Project, AI Limit was initially supposed to be released exclusively for PS4. However, according to a new report from Gematsu, AI Limit will instead be a PS5 console exclusive, launching on PS5 and PC sometime in 2024.
With a development stretching all the way back to 2017, this action RPG has an intriguing post-apocalyptic setting and some very stylish anime-inspired visuals. Gameplay seems to skew fairly close to Soulsborne genre that has kind of taken over the world these last couple of years — lots of parrying, dodging, and giant boss battles. We’ll need to see a little more from the gameplay to make an assessment, but if you like your third-person action games, this certainly seems like a good one.
The PlayStation China Hero Project is a Sony-backed initiative that provides funding to indie game developers in China. AI Limit was part of the second wave of the project — the same wave that produced the excellent F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch. Sony recently also revealed the third wave of China Hero Project games, although if The God Slayer’s 2027 launch is anything to go by, we won’t games from that wave for a while yet.
Looks like AI Limit can join some of the other exciting console exclusives on our PS5 exclusives list — though that’s a shame about the PS4 version. Are you looking forward to getting your hands on this one? Let us know down in the comments below.
