Summer Game Fest 2022 reveals initial lineup of partners
Summer Game Fest showrunner Geoff Keighley announced the initial lineup of partners for the June 9th showcase and activities throughout June 2022. These partners including major Japanese publishers such as SEGA/Atlus, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and Capcom. The first stop for Summer Game Fest 2022 is PlayStation’s State of Play showcase on June 2nd. This event features 30 minutes of game updates, reveals, and news for all things PlayStation. State of Play on June 2nd also includes a look into several games coming to PlayStation VR 2.
Previously, Sony confirmed that PlayStation VR 2 would release with over 20 major games at launch. The launch lineup includes major 1st party PlayStation titles and 3rd party titles. In addition, 2 unannounced live service PlayStation games will release by March 31st, 2023. The likelyhood of one of these games being shown off at State of Play is high.
