Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ at MetLife Stadium in May 2023: Ticket prices, availability appeared on www.silive.com by Dr. Gracelyn Santos | gsantos@siadvance.com.
Superstar singer Taylor Swift is coming close to NYC in May at MetLife Stadium for her “Eras Tour.” Tickets are on sale now. The setlist is a journey through all the musical eras of her prolific career.
The “Eras Tour” is the ongoing sixth headlining concert tour by Swift. Having not toured for her studio albums “Lover,” “Folklore,” and “Evermore” due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Swift is embarking on the “Eras Tour” in support of all of her albums, including her latest, “Midnights.”
The tour kicked off on Friday night in Glendale, Arizona during a three-hour show that ran through hits from every era of the Grammy-winner’s 17-year career.
Swifties can see Taylor in New Jersey on May 26 through 28 for three concerts, starting at 6:30 p.m. each day. It is her first tour in five years.
HOW TO COMPARE TAYLOR SWIFT TICKET PRICES
The tickets for Swift infamously sold out on Ticketmaster, but you can still buy tickets for the MetLife shows on the secondary market, with several reputable choices available.
The trick is finding the best prices — and you should be prepared for sticker shock. Some ticket resale services have no tickets — none — for under $1K. Currently, the best array of options is on VividSeats, where ticket prices begin at a relatively affordable $715.
Note: First-time Vivid Seats users can save $15 on ticket orders over $150 by entering promo code NEWVIVID15 at checkout.
Below are ticket options through VividSeats:
>> MetLife Stadium, May 26 Friday at 6:30 p.m. —Taylor Swift with Phoebe Bridgers and Gayle
>> MetLife Stadium, May 27 Saturday at 6:30 p.m. — Taylor Swift with Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams
>> MetLife Stadium, May 28 Sunday at 6:30 p.m. — Taylor Swift with Phoebe Bridgers and Owenn
Other options include StubHub, TicketNetwork, TicketCity and MegaSeats. Of these, StubHub currently has the best selection of tickets, but a MegaSeats 15% off promotion could mean big savings on tickets of this scale.
>> MegaSeats is currently running a 15% off deal, use the code #NOFEES15.
>> TicketCity users can save $15 on orders over $400 using promo code TCITYSAVE15 at checkout.
SONGS TO EXPECT TO HEAR DURING THE ERAS TOUR
For the Arizona concert, Swift wore a crystalized corset and matching boots, according to CNN, opening with her “Lover” era and “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” a track off the 2019 album. She then performed “Cruel Summer” for the very first time in concert.
She also performed “Willow” and “Champagne Problems” from her pandemic-era album “Evermore,” followed by popular hits such as “Delicate” and “Don’t Blame Me” on a set where the “Reputation” snake slithered around.
The setlist proceeded with the “Red” era with renditions of catchy tunes like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Swift also performed the 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”
2023 IS A YEAR FOR HOT TOURS
Many artists who did not tour since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic are bringing their music back to the road, so 2023 is a big year for lovers of live music.
Like Swift, tickets for Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance Tour have been particularly hot this year.
Meanwhile, Staten Island’s own Wu-Tang Clan are again touring with Nas, with an expanded number of dates for their New York State of Mind tour.
And NYC-area stops are also coming for Drake, who is touring in 2023 with 21 Savage, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna’s ‘Celebration Tour’ is coming to Madison Square Garden.
