Taylor Swift stops singing to yell at security guard appeared on www.news.com.au by news.
Taylor Swift has broken from her song on stage to defend a fan from a security guard.
The singer paused mid-performance during her Eras Tour on Saturday night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania US to stand up for the audience member.
In a video from the show, which is circulating on social media, the 33-year-old singer can be heard stopping to speak to someone in the audience while singing Bad Blood.
“She’s fine,” she can be heard saying between the lyrics.
“She wasn’t doing anything. Hey, stop! Stop.”
Once the situation appeared to be resolved Taylor walked away and continued her song.
The fan who had shared the video onto TikTok said the security guard Swift had been talking to “was a pain in the a** the entire night”.
The fact that this happened during Bad Blood made it even better,” they added.
Another fan who claimed to have been in the audience at the time agreed, further explaining what had happened.
“Taylor was yelling at a security guard because they fully kept putting their hands on us to physically push us off of the barricade instead of just telling us to move,” one Twitter user explained.
“(The) men didn’t even hesitate to touch us to move us and they were very very aggressive when they were doing it.
“We weren’t throwing anything, we weren’t screaming anything insane, she was fully coming over to dance and sing with us and it resulted in security being extremely aggressive for no reason.”
The singer received praise on social media for going above and beyond for her fans.
“Okay her love for us is so strong,” one wrote. “Taylor never goes off script for her concerts but the fact that whatever was going on was bad enough for her to do this just proves she would do anything for us and the love is 100 per cent reciprocated!”
While another commented: “The way she ran back over as well to make sure the security guard actually stopped like what an icon.”
“OMG I’ve never seen her react like this please the way she has to continue singing in between LMAO.”
And a third said: “Taylor to the rescue!”
