Terrifying scene as more than 50 hungry sharks surround a couple's boat appeared on www.marca.com by SMM,Adapted by SAM.
Tragedy almost loomed over a couple in Louisiana, in the United States, after nearly 50 sharks surrounded the boat they were fishing in.
The pair were fishing for yellowfin tuna off the Venice Coast, but obviously decided to call off their day at sea after a near-miss with so many sharks.
It is undoubtedly one of the most shocking videos of the year. The footage captured the moment when, just off the coast, the couple were surrounded by hungry sharks.
It was filmed by Dillon May, from Jacksonville, Florida, and posted on TikTok, on his girlfriend Kaitlyn Dix‘s profile, garnering more than one million views.
How the shark ambush happened
May told ABC they were fishing for yellowfin tuna when suddenly the water seemed to boil. The phenomenon is sometimes called ‘tuna boil’ and occurs when the fish feed so fast and so aggressively that the water appears to start boiling. But this time it wasn’t the tuna.
All around the boat were dozens of sharks chasing, attacking and eating these fish, while the humans watched the scene in terror.
There were water splashes of such velocity that the boat was visibly rocked, water could be seen protruding over the sides of the boat, and the fishermen joked that they were getting wet.
Fins splashed and jaws bit into the water as the pair tried to stay away from the edges of the boat to avoid a possible attack.
