The Nike Air Max Plus Utility Takes On A “White/Red” Look appeared on sneakernews.com by Sneaker News.
The Nike Air Max Plus Utility is amongst the brand’s more obscure propositions, but it should spend more time in the spotlight given the silhouette’s 25th anniversary.
Ahead of spring, the outdoors-inspired take on Sean McDowell’s design from 1998 appeared in a simple white and red color scheme. Honeycomb-patterned mesh across the upper takes on a clean “colorless” look that allows for the slightest contrast to steal the spotlight. Palm tree-reminiscent TPU overlays along the sides are replaced with flush fuse panels. Instead, speed lacing offers support at the profiles, injecting a touch of off-road aesthetics in the process. Swoosh logos on the sides and top of the tongue introduce vibrant ruby flair into the mix; mid-foot shanks and Air Max and Tuned Air units follow suit. Lastly, outsoles favor an off white hue that complements the rest of the Air Max Plus well.
