It wouldn’t be a Christmas period without the PlayStation Network going down.
As of the last hour or so, users have been reporting a multitude of issues with the PlayStation Network including not being able to launch games due to not being able to verify licenses on the PlayStation Network.

It’s unclear if this is due to a huge amount of new PS5 owners connecting to the network for the first time as they try and perform software updates/download games, or due to an attack, but it’s definitely having issues.

Currently, the PlayStation Network status page says that everything is fine by Down Detector has seen a huge amount of reports of issues within the last hour, and we’ve seen an influx of tweets and posts through our Facebook groups come through.
