He said, “So there is a lot of speculation about that. To me that the Python Center is kind of more like an urban myth. There has never been a facility named… uh there is this place that they keep speaking of, people keep mentioning, we don’t know what it is. It is just not a thing.”
Well, further adding a few more thoughts to the discussion, he said, “I am not just pulling this out of my butt. But I believe that they were intentionally released by somebody or multiple people, probably reptile breeders, in a hope that they start importing Python from overseas and start farming them.”
The conversation made it apparent that Mike Kimmel considered those research centers a myth. He intended to reveal that the Pythons were released intentionally so that their breeding could take place. Well, Rogan’s podcast has discussed several tremendously interesting topics over time, but the podcast too has had an interesting history.

The initial producer of ‘JRE,’ Brian Redban, was hired by Joe Rogan in 2003, which is when the podcast’s beginnings can be traced. Having created his own website, the former Fear Factor host was looking for someone to serve as his video editor. Redban’s peculiar tendency of ‘recording everything’ caught Rogan’s attention, which further enhanced his suitability for the position.
