Woods’ yardage for every club
Ahead of this week’s ‘The Match’ that is set to happen, Golf Digest released Woods’ yardage per club and stunned the viewers. Woods can hit 100 yards with his lob wedge, a club used to hit the green with as little roll as possible. The sand wedge, as its name implies, is used to play a ball out of a bunker. The golf legend has a yardage of 120 yards with it.
With the pitch wedge, the 15-time major averages 135 yards. When it comes to his irons, Woods is unstoppable. With his long irons, i.e., the 3, 4, and 5 irons, Woods can hit 240, 255, and 250 yards, respectively. Using his medium irons, he’s able to gain 180 yards from his 7-iron and 195 yards from his 8-iron.
The golf great reaches a huge 150 yards with his short iron, the 9-iron. The 5 and 3 wood clubs are designed for longer shots, and with them, Tiger can cover 255 and 275 yards, respectively. And when it comes to the driver, the 82-time PGA Tour winner can drive the ball a whopping 295 yards.
Woods, at the age of 46, is able accomplish these incredibly long distances with absolute precision, and because of that, he is seen as a force to be reckoned with.

Woods hit his best average in 2004–2005, at 316.1. He also won six times on the Tour, including two majors that year. In the 2018–2021 season, Woods had his lowest-ever average of 290.3 yards. But that didn’t last too long. The following year, the golf champion drive the ball 309.5 yards on average.
