The highly anticipated PopStroke Entertainment, a family-friendly golf and dining experience designed and co-founded by Tiger Woods, has announced that its Katy location will be opening next month.
While the tech-heavy entertainment venue doesn’t have an official opening date, said Melissa Sullivan, media relations for PopStroke, the projected timeline is mid-December.

PopStroke will be located in the Katy Grand center adjacent to popular entertainment destinations Andretti’s Indoor Karting and Games and Cinemark theater. The center is also home to the upcoming Home Run Dugout, a new baseball entertainment venue similar to Topgolf.
PopStroke infuses technology into the concept with a customized mobile app that allows customers to order drinks and food to be delivered directly to them anywhere on the course and showcase their scores on a digital scoreboard.
PopStroke occupies a 3-acre plat and features two 18-hole putting courses designed by Woods.

Like traditional courses, PopStroke will feature synthetic turfs, fairways, bunkers and rough, said Sullivan.
The center also features upscale dining and beverage services with a full restaurant menu, bars featuring mixed drinks and craft beers and dessert bars with ice cream and other sweets.
The courses are designed to be fun, yet challenging, Sullivan explained.
“Our design approach emphasizes playability and providing a multitude of options for players of all abilities,” she said.
PopStroke also features a rooftop bar. It’s open to the public during business hours, but it can also be rented out for private events.
“It’s perfect for corporate events, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, and things like that,” Sullivan said. “It overlooks the course so you have a really beautiful view.”
For small golfers and their parents, PopStroke has a fully enclosed playground where kids can play near their parents.
“It’s a great way for parents to get a small break and enjoy a meal while the kids run around and have a great time,” Sullivan added.
The Katy location is the first PopStroke in Texas. There are currently two locations in Florida, and the company has plans to expand to Arizona.
Katy was chosen as the first Texas destination for PopStroke because of the rapid growth in the area, said Greg Bartoli, Woods’ business partner.
“These are dynamic, high-growth markets supported by excellent ownership groups,” Bartoli said. “We are very excited to expand our unique golf entertainment experience across the United States, particularly in markets supported by surging population growth and great climates.”
