Trenton James Taylor passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in an automobile-related accident in Nahunta, Georgia.

Trent was born on April 3, 2001, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.  Trent’s parents are Jedd D Taylor and Rebecca Sue Taylor (Dursteler).  Trent moved to Corvallis, Montana when he was one year old with his family and lived there until he was 10 where he was surrounded with wonderful people and friends.  He then moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado where he graduated from Mountain Vista High School in 2019.  As a child, Trent was full of life and so curious to get moving and explore the world around him.  He was quiet, but very bright and active.  He was especially adept at games and puzzles.  He also loved to go fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking with his dad and uncle Sam.  As our family grew, he was a wonderful big brother to his two younger sisters and younger brother.  Trent was unusually kind and soft-hearted.  His smile could light a room. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, always giving them the benefit of the doubt.  He could see the good in everyone. During high school Trent was a volunteer tutor for students with special needs. He had a unique gift of patience and understanding where he was able to reach those students like no one else had before.  He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and excelled in youth level wrestling and soccer, but as he moved into his teenage years, he started to lose interest in sports and social activities.  He struggled mightily with debilitating loneliness and depression, but he continued to do well in school where he earned a partial scholarship to the University of Wyoming and attended there for one semester studying astronomy.  After that he tried a few other vocations but struggled to find his way.  In September of 2022, he moved to Georgia for a new adventure and a fresh start, where he ultimately passed away.

Trent is survived by his parents Jedd and Becky Taylor (Highlands Ranch, CO) his sisters Sierra Taylor (serving a mission in Sydney, Australia) and Alexa Taylor and brother Benjamin Taylor (Highlands Ranch, CO), his grandparents Paul and Caroline Taylor (Layton, UT), Jaydene Love (Kaysville, UT), Helene Dursteler (Stansbury Park, UT), and too many aunts, uncles, and cousins to number.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather William Hansen Dursteler.

Trent had a close and special relationship with his Grandpa Dursteler and will be buried next to him in The Holladay Memorial Cemetery in Holladay, UT.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends and family may visit Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.
