VR Football Game Coming to PS VR2 at Launch appeared on gamerant.com by Game Rant.

The launch lineup of the PS VR2 is getting bigger as a new virtual reality football game has been announced for Sony’s hardware.

PlayStation announced 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star, a new virtual reality football game that will be available upon the launch of PS VR2. While the PS VR2 launch lineup is already packed with titles, 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star is the first football game revealed for Sony’s upcoming VR headset.

The PlayStation VR2 is the new version of Sony’s virtual reality headset, designed for the PlayStation 5. While the PS VR2 will cost more than Sony’s next-gen console, this VR headset will come with an OLED panel with a 4K display resolution, a field of view of approximately 110 degrees, six-axis motion sensors, four cameras mounted on the headset to track player’s movements, eye tracking technology, and new controllers with haptic feedback able to detect finger touches. The PS VR2 also comes with vibration feedback directly on the headset to further immerse players within the games.

Ever since the reveal of the PS VR2 back in January 2022, Sony has regularly been announcing new games coming with the launch of its VR headset. The latest reveal is 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star, a motion-controlled VR football game. This title is the sequel to 2020’s 2MD: VR Football Evolution, a two-minute drill virtual reality arcade experience where players only came into action during the final minutes of a football game.

Compared to its predecessor, 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star brings various improvements to its arcade take on VR football games. Each match now lasts longer than before, with 20, 40, and 60-minute games available on top of the traditional two-minute drills. 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star features 70 stadiums and 56 unique teams across eight leagues including college, arena indoor, professional, and fantasy players. Players can either throw the ball to their teammates or try to catch it, with eight unique offensive plays and multiple practice modes to train before game day.

2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star is the latest game to join the launch lineup of the PS VR2. Sony already announced popular games coming to its virtual reality headset, such as Among Us VR, No Man’s Sky, and the highly-anticipated Horizon: Call of the Mountain. 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star is the only football game announced so far for the release of Sony’s upcoming VR headset, but more games could join the launch lineup of the PS VR2 ahead of its February 22 release date. Pre-orders for the PS VR2 are already available for those who want to try Sony’s latest virtual reality headset upon its launch.

PlayStation VR2 and 2MD: VR Football Unleashed All-Star will be available on February 22, 2023.
