A woman has revealed the unusual tattoo she got inked in Arabic on a trip to Morocco, and people can’t believe it.

Tattoos are a personal choice, and while many will opt for something meaningful, some will decide to get an inking on a whim and get something spontaneous.

That’s exactly what 24-year-old Caitlin Delphine did while travelling in Morocco. Falling in love with the Arabic language for how it looked, Grace decided to get an Arabic word tattooed on her permanently. However since sharing it online, people have told her what the word translates to – and Grace claimed she chose the word inked onto her.

While in Morocco with people she had previously met while travelling in Spain, Grace had joked about the beauty of the words on a mayonnaise packet, and decided the word mayonnaise was what she wanted her tattoo to say. But the Italian native has left people baffled over the decision, with many presuming she didn’t know what it said.

“We got tattoos because we had a really fun trip and we were so happy that we met each other randomly in Spain and travelled out to Morocco together. The tattoos are accurate and they are supposed to say mayonnaise.

“We were at lunch one day and talking about how beautiful the Arabic language is and I picked up a mayonnaise package and said see even the word mayonnaise looks beautiful written in Arabic, then we joked that we should get it tattooed and the rest is history. We made sure to go to a local Moroccan tattoo artist so the word was accurate and he thought it was harmless and funny,” Grace explained.

She then shared a video of the tattoo on her TikTok page, and people were quick to confirm the accuracy of the phrase. One TikTok user wrote: “As a Moroccan I can def confirm that spells out mayonnaise,” while another added: “It’s actually letter by letter spelled mayonnaise.”

Caitlin then added: “The viral response has been crazy, I had less than 100 followers so I thought only a few friends would see it,” and stated: “The tattoos are here to stay! We loved the country, the people were so friendly and we had an amazing time.”
