Woods leaves golfers baffled by playing at Pebble Beach in ‘Call of Duty’ hoodie appeared on www.express.co.uk by Tom Beattie.
Golf icon Tiger Woods was spotted playing at The Hay at Pebble Beach in some unorthodox clothing as he took part in a charity event. The 47-year-old legend raised some eyebrows as he donned a hoodie paying homage to the “Call of Duty: Black Ops” video game.
To round out what was a unique outfit for the course, Woods also was wearing a backward cap, basketball shorts, and FJ Icons golf shoes. The 15 major victor was taking part in the “100 Hole Hike” at Pebble Beach in California for charity and he finished off his round alongside some fans.
The golf hero seemed to be enjoying himself at the nine-hole, par-3 course that he created as he joined hikers in aid of the Youth On Course charity. Essentially, those present were tasked with playing 100 holes of golf in one day to raise money for the cause which helps youngsters gain access to the sport.
His dressed-down look did gain some unplanned attention online, however, as the picture of him at the event went viral on social media. His hoodie, which featured the logo of the famed “Call of Duty” game series, did seem to ignite some discussion online after the image was posted by Instagram account WhiteGloveGolf.

His homage to the series will come as no surprise to the more ardent Woods fans, however, with the superstar having spoken openly of his love for the game in the past. Speaking to Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show,” he admitted that once told that he would often have lengthy sessions in front of the TV while recovering from injury.
“Yeah, I’ve had two back surgeries since then. And you know, I like to practice and compete all day,” he said. “That’s one of my things. I like to spend it out, but the thing is I wasn’t able to do that on the golf course.
“So I applied my same intensity and my craft, my focus to ‘Call of Duty.’ I will spend eight hours a day, get a 30-minute lunch break, be in my reclining grandpa chair playing.”
Woods added: “I thought I was good because I got through the campaigns, no big deal, and went online. When seven-year-olds are beating you from around the world, [it’s] humbling.”
It is worth noting that he was wearing what appeared to be a leg brace as he continues his long recovery journey after shattering his ankle in a horrific car crash in February 2021. He was also seen on the course at the Nexus Cup at Liberty National, where he appeared along with fellow PGA Tour stars Rickie Fowler and Will Zalatoris.
