Xbox is constantly adding new games to Xbox Game Pass. One of the biggest expansions of the Xbox Game Pass library has been Microsoft’s partnership with Electronic Arts to bring EA Play titles to the subscription service. When EA adds a game to EA Play, it’s also unlocked for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Add another title to the list, because Electronic Arts has confirmed that the racing game GRID Legends will soon be coming to EA Play and so Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as well.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a blog post through Xbox’s news channel, EA confirmed that GRID Legends will officially be launching on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting September 1. GRID Legends will be available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate players will have access to the game on their platform of choice. However, PC players have an additional option, as EA Play is also included with a PC Game Pass subscription.

For those unfamiliar, GRID Legends delivers a more approachable sim racer, offering a diverse range of vehicles and on-road driving experiences. It features over 100 vehicles to get behind the wheel of, as well as over 130 routes to drive from across the world. It also features a unique live-action Driven to Glory story mode, as well as robust support for multiplayer with up to 21 friends.

Xbox Game Pass does already have a healthy selection of racing games available for subscribers, though GRID Legends will offer a new experience and something different from what’s already available. Games like Forza Horizon 4, DIRT 5, and Wreckfest are currently included in Xbox Game Pass. EA Play also has some solid racing titles available, including half a dozen Need for Speed games and Burnout Paradise Remastered. Needless to say, racing fans on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass should feel spoiled.

It’s not just racing game fans spoiled for content on Xbox Game Pass. There are already eight different games announced for Xbox Game Pass in September. GRID Legends arrive on September 1, followed by Disney Dreamlight Valley and Train Sim World 3 on September 7. That will be followed by the next-gen version of Outer Wilds, Beacon Pines, Slime Rancher 2, Grounded‘s full release, and Moonscars. That should keep subscribers busy.

GRID Legends will officially arrive on both EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on September 1. Note that while GRID Legends will be available for PC Game Pass, it won’t be available for the standard subscription on console. Console racing game fans will have to upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to gain access to EA Play and Grid Legends.
