You must've heard – Tinubu tells Nigerians in China why fuel price was increased appeared on dailypost.ng by John Owen Nwachukwu.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has told Nigerians in China the reasons for the recent increase in the pump price of petrol in Nigeria.
DAILY POST reported on Tuesday that Premium Motor Spirit, also called petrol, is now being sold between N897 and N1000.
Tinubu, who concluded his official activities in the Asian giants on Friday in Beijing by meeting with Nigerians living and doing business in the country, said his visit was “very good and successful.”
Tinubu said the recent increase in the price of petrol in Nigeria is because of the tough decisions taken by his administration.
“For example, you might have been hearing from home in the last few days about fuel prices,” he said.
“But, can we help it? Can we develop good roads like you have here? You see electricity being constant in quantity and quality. ”
The President said that other basic amenities Nigerians enjoy in China such as water supply and good schools among others could be available in Nigeria through sacrifice from the citizens.
