Leonardo DiCaprio warns Timothee Chalamet: No hard drugs, no superhero movies appeared on www.marca.com by SMM,Adapted by SAM.
Leonardo DiCaprio is already a mature, veteran actor. He is full of success and one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, no longer a young boy who drives girls crazy and is building his career.
That is now the role of 26-year-old Timothee Chalamet, who after acting with Leo in ‘Don’t Look Up’ received several tips for his future.
“No hard drugs and no superhero movies,” is what the Hollywood star told the young actor, according to Vogue. That was in 2018, when they were shooting the Adam McKay-directed film, one of Netflix’s best movies.
DiCaprio knows what he’s talking about
The clearest example happened with one of DiCaprio‘s best friends, actor Tobey Maguire, who became Hollywood’s most popular name after Sam Raimi‘s ‘Spider-Man’ in 2002, but then saw his career plummet after the same director’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ in 2007.
He disappeared from the scene, leaving behind a couple more films like ‘Brothers’ in 2009 and ‘The Great Gatsby’ in 2013.
Chalamet, for the moment, seems to be sticking to the advice. He does have a ‘Dune’ sequel already on the way for 2023, called ‘Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty’.
After his tremendous success in 2017’s ‘Call Me by Your Name’, he became one of Hollywood’s biggest up-and-comers and since then he has been involved in some of the biggest feature films of recent years, including ‘Rainy Day in New York’ (Woody Allen, 2019), Little Women’ (Greta Gerwig, 2019), ‘The French Dispatch’ (Wes Anderson, 2021) and ‘Bones and All’ (2022).
In addition, he landed the role of Willy Wonka for the film ‘Wonka’, directed by Paul King, which will serve as a prequel to ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, starring Johnny Depp.
