‘Your brain is too small’: Elon Musk slams Adam Schiff in deleted tweet appeared on www.washingtonexaminer.com by Heather Hunter.
Twitter chief Elon Musk slammed Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) brain size in a now-deleted tweet after the latter said Musk was not a “free speech absolutist” for temporarily suspending a handful of journalists from the platform.
“Thankfully, you lose your chairmanship very soon. Your brain is too small,” Musk tweeted Saturday, later deleting the message.
Musk’s remark about Schiff’s “chairmanship” refers to his role as chief lawmaker on the House Intelligence Committee. Republicans won back control of the House of Representatives in the November midterm elections, meaning that Schiff is losing his chairmanship to his Republican counterpart: Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Republicans have also pledged to strip Schiff of all his committee assignments in the next Congress.
The California Democrat’s original tweet, which is still up, was another critique of the billionaire Tesla founder.
‘PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN’: MUSK LIFTS TWITTER SUSPENSIONS ON JOURNALISTS FOR ALLEGED ‘DOXXING’
“Elon Musk calls himself a free speech absolutist, to justify turning a blind eye to hatred and bigotry on Twitter. But when journalists report unfavorable news, they are banned without warning,” the congressman wrote on social media. “The devotion to free speech is apparently not that absolute. But the hypocrisy is.”
When Schiff tweeted his Friday statement, Musk was already conducting a poll of Twitter users about whether to reinstate journalists who he alleged had violated Twitter’s doxxing rules, which prohibit posting real-time movements of a person.

Earlier last week, Musk had warned that he was taking doxxing very seriously after one of his youngest children had been stalked following real-time postings of his air traffic movements.
“Real-time posting of someone else’s location violates doxxing policy, but delayed posting of locations are ok,” Musk said on the platform on Wednesday.

The reporters who continued to post such links, or refused to take old tweets to those sites down, were then suspended.
Musk conducted a poll to reinstate the suspended journalists Friday through Saturday and honored the results despite disagreeing with them after voters supported lifting the ban.
“The people have spoken. Accounts who doxxed my location will have their suspension lifted now,” Musk wrote.
Saturday’s sparring between the billionaire and California Democrat is not the first time that Musk has clapped back at Schiff’s similar claims.
Schiff claimed earlier this month that the platform was pushing hate speech before saying that he and Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA) were demanding action.

“On Elon Musk‘s Twitter:- Slurs against Black people have tripled – Slurs against women are up 33% – Slurs against Jewish people are up 61% – And slurs against gay men are up 58%,” Schiff tweeted. “These numbers are abysmal – and unacceptable. Today, @RepMarkTakano and I are demanding action.”
Musk criticized Schiff’s “false” claims about hate speech on Twitter with a correction.
Musk replied, “False, hate speech impressions are actually down by 1/3 for Twitter now vs prior to acquisition.”
